Irish Fellowship Club of Colorado AGM
Date: Thursday, November 8th Time: 6.30pm Venue: Burns Room at The Celtic Tavern 1801 Blake St, Denver
The Irish Fellowship Club recently folded after being in existence for over 50 years. There is an interest in the Irish Community of reviving the club and having it serve as a social group for Irish and Irish Americans living along the Front Range.
Our goal for the reawakening of the Irish Fellowship club is to appeal to Irish people who have moved here but have lost touch wtih their brethren living around Denver, to people who have been a part of the club since it started originally, and to Irish Americans who have an interest in Ireland and would like to experience Irish culture and fellowship beyond the Festival and St. Patrick’s Day parade each year.
We welcome people to join us for our first AGM where you will have an opportunity to become part of this club from the beginning and be involved in a discussion on the future of the club. We would appreciate all the help and support we can get as we elect a committee to make the club vibrant once again.
If you are wanting to be a part of the club, but cannot make this AGM, please email us and we will put your name forward on the night to be a part of the committee.
Our first event was last weekend at Monica & Doug Bennett’s house in Littleton. A wonderful evening of Irish food and conversation, renewing old acquaintances and all who were in attendance were given the stage to speak about their experiences leaving Ireland, how Colorado came to be home and why they were looking forward to being associated with the club.
Please join us for the AGM on Thursday, November 8th at 6.30pm at the Celtic Tavern.
